Around 1,200 people attended Party in the Park at Victoria Park in Stafford on Saturday, 11 July. The free community event featured activities, entertainment and community stalls, organised by Freedom Leisure's Healthy Communities team in partnership with Stafford Borough Council.
Activities and entertainment
Visitors took part in archery, gymnastics, long jump and family games throughout the day. The event also included family fairground rides, circus skills, and interactive medieval-themed activities delivered by Historic Stafford.
One of the day's highlights was the Duck Race, organised by Stafford Rotary Club. Community stalls and food and drink vendors were also available.
Community organisations on display
The event provided an opportunity for local youth groups, charities and community organisations to showcase their work and highlight available services, projects and support within the local community.
Partnership approach
Alistair Gould, Area Manager at Freedom Leisure, said: "It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying Party in the Park and making the most of everything the day had to offer. Events like this are a fantastic way of bringing our community together, encouraging people to be active and creating opportunities for families to spend quality time together."
