Staffordshire County Council will begin overnight repairs on Hemlock Way in Cannock from 13 July. The work will take around four nights to complete.
The road will be fully closed during the overnight works to reduce disruption for residents, businesses and road users. Residents and road users are asked to follow signed diversions and allow extra time for journeys while the repairs are under way.
Part of wider highways investment
The repairs form part of the council's £15 million investment in highways over the next two years. This scheme targets road defects across Staffordshire and supports the council's commitment to repair 40,000 potholes by the end of March 2027.
Daniel Cecil, Staffordshire County Council's Cabinet Support Member for Highways South, said: "We know how important good local roads are to residents, businesses and everyone travelling around Cannock, which is why these repairs on Hemlock Way are being carried out as part of our wider programme to improve highways across Staffordshire."
Cecil added that carrying out the work overnight reduces disruption while still making the necessary repairs to improve the road surface. He described the scheme as "exactly the kind of local, practical improvement residents want to see".
