A Christmas treasure trail will send families searching for numbered magic lamps in Stafford town centre from Saturday 21 November to Sunday 13 December.

More than 20 shops and businesses are taking part in the competition, which ties in with the Gatehouse Theatre’s pantomime Aladdin.

Entry forms will be available from the theatre and participating businesses from 21 November, the day of Stafford’s Christmas lights switch-on. Entrants who find all the lamps can return completed forms to the festive letter box at the Gatehouse.

Prize draws will take place from Tuesday 15 December. Prizes include family tickets to the pantomime and Betley Court’s Enchanted Light Trail, along with restaurant and shop vouchers.

The trail is a collaboration between Stafford Borough Council, the Gatehouse Theatre and local businesses.

Councillor Gillian Pardesi, cabinet member for leisure, said: “I am really pleased so many of our town centre businesses have supported this treasure trail with some great prizes on offer and great fun for those taking part.”
